Joining is easy (and, of course, it’s free!)

When you click on the JOIN button below, you’ll go to our registration page, where you’ll be asked for your birth date. That's because this site complies with The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act

If you’re 13 years or younger, you can STILL join... but we will need your parent's or guardian's permission before you can post in the forums. Don't worry - we make this bit really easy!

You’ll then be taken to the Permission Form which you MUST print out and give to your parent or guardian to complete and send back to us. as soon as we receive it, you’ll be a full member!

If you’re older than thirteen, no probem - you can join straight away.

I didn’t print out the COPPA form for my parent/guardian to sign!

No problem. We do insist that all members 13 years or younger have written permission from their parent or guardian before they can participate here. If you didn’t print the form out, don’t worry – you can easily access it as follows (maybe print this page and tick off the steps as you go through them):

1. Log in with your new user name and password;
2. Click on "USER CP" (CP stands for Control Panel)
3. Click on "EDIT PROFILE" in the left menu
4. Click on the “DISPLAY PERMISSION FORM” button.

You can then print out another form.

It's telling me my user name is already taken!

We only allow user names consisting of the characters A-Z including space (i.e. no numerals or non-alphabetic characters). Please choose a name we can all say! You'll probably find that a lot of the character names from the books have already been taken - so invent your own!

How do I get my Swapits?

You must enter your EXACT SwapitShop nickname when you register. At the end of each month, we'll credit new members who do this with 25 Swapits. Allow 6 weeks for processing.

Once you've joined, please first of all go to the GREETINGS forum and read all the posts there that will quickly get you up to speed with everything here.
