Mothers of Joshua readers in Germany might recognise the voice of Josh Garcia on the 'Geheimakte Joshua' audio books published by Cecile Dressler. The star is Hamburg-born actor Patrick Bach, a teenage hearthrob from the 1980s when he starred in a popular German TV adaptation of Leon Garfield's novel about 13-year old pirate, Jack Holborn.
This October sees the much-anticipated release of ICE SHOCK (book and audiobook) in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Here's how you might find the book displayed in shops if you visit...

The series 'Geheimakte Joshua' is translated by translator and author Frank Boehmert who wrote on his blog, 'It's celebration time for me...I like to celebrate the arrival of an advance review copy at home. I sit comfortably at my desk and read through the whole thing. A nice short rest on the laurels but also instructive...'
Great job and thanks to our wonderful translator Frank and to Patrick Bach for bringing Joshua alive auf Deutsch!
And if you've ever wondered what MG thinks Josh might look like...well, young Jack Holborn could be close!
