Happy New Year!

Only 2 months to go now until ICE SHOCK hits the shelves.

TWO of our cleverest members here at themgharris.com will be able to enjoy the story even sooner - they are winners in the competition to crack THE SECOND CODE.

WINNER: Jonathan Henry aged 11 from Oxford
RUNNER-UP: Jamie McIntyre aged 12 from Oxford

Both boys attend schools visited by MG last year as part of her summer book tour, so we're especially pleased to see readers staying in touch.

We hope later to featuring photos of the winners with their prizes...

Thanks to all those who tried their hands at the fiendish puzzle.

For a last chance to work it out, here's the puzzle - the text solution of the coded message in copies of INVISIBLE CITY.

YOU FOUND ME NICE WORK WELL HERES MY SECRET SUSPICION GRANDPAS MUWAN CRASH DADS DISAPPEARANCE AND THAT BRACELET OF ITZAMNA BET THERES A CONNECTION GOT IT YET OK REMEMBER ITS ZILCH ABOUT BENICIOS ANECDOTE

We thought there was just ONE code. But within Josh’s secret coded message in each copy of INVISIBLE CITY is a SECOND secret message.

Josh has hidden a secret word inside his cryptic message. Does anything about his message strike you as a bit odd...?

A HINT: The one word is the name of a place in Mexico.

Answer is below:

Does the final sentence seem a bit strange to you? It did to our two winners, who reckoned it didn't make much sense. But if you take the FIRST letter of each word in that mysterious sentence, you get ORIZABA.

It's the name of a place in Mexico - in fact it's the name of a mountain range in the Mexican state of Veracruz where, according to INVISIBLE CITY, Josh's grandfather's Muwan crashed.

The solution to the puzzle, then is:

ORIZABA

As to the rest of Josh'a secret message...dad's disappearance, the Bracelet of Itzamna...we're not sure what he's talking about.

Let's hope the answers lie in THE JOSHUA FILES Book 2 - ICE SHOCK - out on March 2nd!
